Lots of Luck

Hi Tea Timers!  So happy you're reading my blog again! Today, I'm back with a fun shaker card. I absolutely love the Lucky Ducks clear stamps, they’re just so cute! I colored them using my Copic markers with these combinations for the ducks: yellow Y18, 15, 13, 11 and orange YR68, 15, and 12. For the base of the card, I used the Wonky Windows cover die. Before attaching the shaker part, I added some background color using Ranger Oxide inks. The sky turned out blue with some cute cloud shapes created with a stencil, and the grass got a fresh green shade. For the shaker elements, I picked soft colors and clear sequins, so everything blends together nicely. Instead of using a stamped sentiment, I opted for a die-cut sentiment this time, the Lots of Luck large sentiment die. I’m so happy with how it turned out—so cheerful and fun! I’d love to know if you like it too. Thanks for reading my blog post. See you next time! Creative hugs, Myrthe

Enjoy your journey together! Hello,  Myrthe  here. Today I created a shaker card using the Just Married stamp set and the  A2 Stitched Hearts Cover Dies As usual, I started by coloring the stamps with my Copic markers. I chose pink as the main color, using RV29, RV25, RV23, and RV21. I absolutely love making shaker cards! First, I cut out the frame using a die. Then, I added double-sided tape around the edges on the back and attached a piece of mica. Next, I created a raised border with double-sided foam tape, leaving enough space for the shaker elements to move around once the back is sealed. Before attaching the background, I gave it some color using ink—blue for the sky, gray for the road, and green around the road to make it look like grass. Then, I stamped the little church onto the background. I added the shaker elements to the background before sealing it with the mica frame. A handy tip: if you want to prevent static and keep the shaker elements from sti...

Jumping with JOY

Happy Tuesday, everyone! DT   Myrthe , here. For today’s card, I’ve used stamps from several different sets. I combined the  Jumping with Joy  set with the  Cool Critters  set. I started by coloring the stamps, and since I love cheerful colors, I went for a combination of pink, green, yellow, and turquoise. It was so much fun placing the little critters and the ice cream truck in the grassy scene. I used a grass die to create the grass, and then added some color to the white cardstock with various shades of ink. To add a bit more depth, I splattered some white and green ink on top. For the background, I used a cloud stencil and added some soft purple-pink clouds. I love how they contrast with the yellow of the ice cream and the little animals. Next, I used the  Joy  die to match with the stamped sentiment. I inked the word with the same colors as the sky, tying everything together perfectly. I’m really happy with how the card tur...

Happy Sunday, everyone! Today, I'm sharing my very first card of the new year for Time For Tea Designs.  I decided to use the  Snappy Before Coffee  stamp set for this one. I just love coloring these stamps, so I dove right into that. I colored the two crocodiles in various shades of green, which was so much fun! A while ago, I received the  Coffee Bean  stencil, and I thought it would be perfect to incorporate it into the background. I used two different ink colors to create a soft, blended effect.  To ground the images, I cut a strip from the  Joyful Christmas  paper pad, giving the impression of a cozy floor beneath the crocs. I'm really happy with how this card turned out—it’s cheerful and perfect for any coffee lover! Thank you for visiting my blog, and I’ll see you next time!   Creative wishes,  Myrthe
